Director's Room Table
Initially designed for the Board Room for meeting of the
Board of Governors, the original of this table can now be seen in
the Director's Room at the Glasgow School of Art.
Mackintosh's use of the simple square, cut out in the hollow leg,
is the detail of this round table. This table design has adapted
well as a dining room table in our range. The table is shown here
with six Argyle chairs.
A small number of the original Argyle chairs exist where the back
slats are attached to the back of the head rail, rather mortised
into it (top left photo). This detail is retained on our Argyle
Chairs since we created our templates from one of these rarer chairs.
