In 1995 Glasgow City Council commissioned Bruce to manufacture the
furniture for the Dining Room in the House for an Art Lover.
With the limited information available in the Mackintosh Art Lovers
House portfolio, Bruce carried out research on other works of CRM
's furniture and based on the information he gathered was asked
to produce his interpretation of Mackintosh's watercolour drawings.
This furniture now stands in the dining room of the HAL, as original
pieces of Mackintosh furniture, all be it manufactured 67 years
after his death. Along with each reproduction piece of CRM furniture
featured in the Bruce Hamilton Furniture Makers growing portfolio,
Bruce is proud to offer his Art Lover's Dining furniture individually
numbered and made from the same templates and jigs as the Furniture
that sits in the House for an Art Lover.
