CHARLES
RENNIE MACKINTOSH
Architect, Designer, Painter - 'A Scotsman in France',
Port Vendres
June 18 - August 15, 2004
This exhibition provided visitors to the Roussillion town
of Port Vendres with an in-depth insight into the wide-ranging aspects of
Mackintosh's work as an architect and designer and water colourist. Part
of the plans for the joint Scottish and French celebration of the centenary
of the Entente Cordiale, the exhibition featured reproduction Mackintosh
pieces that we supplied.

Bruce Hamilton Furniture Makers were proud to have
their work recognised and priviledged to be invited to take part in this
exhibition. Our Mackintosh
reproduction furniture was on display at The Dome in Port Vendres throughout
the duration of the exhibition, and this exhibition then toured various locations
along the south west coast of France.
The Exhibition was opened by the Lord
Provost of Glasgow and the British Consul General. There were a series of
cultural events organised for the
first week of the exhibition. Click here for photos >>>
